Lad explains money laundering with iTunes

I have been baiting this lad, David Ellis (not worried about exposing the name - google searches show the author by the same name), off and on for several years. He is one of the dumbest and laziest lads I have ever baited. As a result, he's not good for anything fun, but he keeps coming back for more and more abuse. My character, Jennifer, has apparently had a consignment box filled with various amounts of money waiting for her at the Atlanta airport (for 4 years now). The fees to register the box (or ship it or something - he keep changing his story) have gone from nearly $1000 down to, now, a $50 iTunes card. I do hope this means he has been very unsuccessful in his scamming and is desperate for any amount.

I hadn't heard from him in nearly 2 years, but then got this random email from him 2 days ago:

Am David Ellis from Atlanta Georgia, your consignment is still
waiting to be delivered.

What a wonderful opportunity to make him explain the whole thing over again!

What consignment? What are you talking about?

Finally, after him going back through his original scripts (simply copied from previous emails with Jennifer because he is truly lazy with a capital L), he asked for a $50 iTunes gift card.

To mail the consignment to via certified mailing will cost $50, buy an
iTunes card of 50 or steam wallet card so the consignment can be
registered for delivery as soon as possible.

Of course, Jennifer does not understand - isn't iTunes for downloading music?

Huh? How will buying an iTunes card get a consignment registered? I thought iTunes was for music and stuff.

So, this idiot explains how money laundering with gift cards works!

No it can be turn to cash no one can trace and you can no get back ever, send the 50, do as i say

Jennifer will definitely make use of these lovely gift cards! Once the lad explains what a steam card is. I'm sure he'll be very happy to receive a card to get his carpets or bathroom cleaned.

I also believe that some gift cards can be turned into bitcoin and from there into cash. There is also an app that apparently can do it as well. Just noted this from Youtube.
