Scammer redirects to legitimate website?

Post by IsaacMoore241 » Thu Nov 04, 2021 3:02 am

I was wondering why some scam websites redirect you to a few different sites, and then to a legitimate website such as wix.com?

Scammers will attempt to legitimize their information. I've had them put real bank information as their signatures (while claiming they are the bank president) along with links to the bank's security information page. Anything that makes them look legit, including that obsequious Red Seal of Authenticity, will be used in a scam.

I had a lad (still do in fact) that had the real bank address as his signature. So when he requested me to send the money by courier (after everything else failed) guess where the money was sent? XD
