In the soldier bait portion of this, the lad is getting very terse with questions. If nothing else, it will drive him to place all his hopes on the package the church is sending. Hopefully he will continue to do both.

The lad is upset that he is getting nowhere with people and the strong boxes from Afghanistan.

I am on them I found that a lot of them are elderly persons and are afraid to receive those consignment. age is the problem I have with them, when I sent those proposal 11 of them responded and when I continue with the job proper only 1 is serious now but yet an elderly person. I think the problem i making heat out of them is their age.

Sadly, he doesn't seem to understand that he has baited himself with his 3 characters and their lies. He just provides good material for people to question him.

In his script he has told the security company that I am related to him. My character was appalled that he lied. He wrote back

I am in serious pains here in the hands of Taliban's terrorists this pain is enough and calling me lair is something I can't take instead forget about it and don't bother writing back.

It sounds like he wants to engage in lengthy discussions to me. Of course my character will keep writing!

Go with it! Anything which keeps him busy is a good thing! He has dropped me for the most part, he got tired of questions which he had no answers for.
In the orphanage story running parallel here, the fake orphanage administrator is happy as the package is almost ready to send.

We are hoping to have his package from the Outreach Committee sent tomorrow so he should be a happy lad for a while......until things start going wrong. I"m just glad the church has selected a 5 Star shipping company that wishes to keep its perfect record of non delivery in place.

The lad needs to do a spell check, but if I parse his messages too carefully he might get educated. But the minister is going to seek clarification on Faith and keeping her alive. This sounds serious!

Our lad should be happy any time now......he just received word that the package is on its way to the orphanage!!! Oh happy days!
The covering letter was wordy, here are some excerpts from the pastor's note. Blue text is the note, red text are my comments for the forum

I have just received word that the package for the orphanage is on its way to the shipping office right now and will soon be in your loving hands. Blessings for all who helped put this together and special blessings for those whose lives it will enrich. I just hope our shipping company comes thru for us.....

One of our members is a retired teacher and suggested that you do this with the children and the maps the company has, and you can not only track the package but use it as a lesson in geography. I think that will be a wonderful opportunity so have passed along that suggestion. Somehow I doubt that any children will be studying world maps.........


There is one obligation you will have to us though: when it arrives, please send pictures of the children enjoying their new things. Smiling faces is all the thanks we need.

He made the currency converstion

The lad is excited his package is on its way to Nigeria. Sadly, he now wants to steal from his partner Raoul (me). The package contains lots of goods to be resold and the proceeds split between the lad, his Nigerian associate, and Raoul. I have suspected the lad and the Nigerian are one and the same. He let it slip that they are....but he doesn't know I caught the mistake.
Now he wants to split the money and then give the gifts to deserving children. In other words, pocket the money for himself. He is now saying the pictures of the happy children are real and part of a deal he made with a real orphanage.

He sent him real picture of children in an orphanage school, he met with the authority and he made it official and promised them that favor will reach them and so when those items reach his hands he must show love with some of them.

Then he copies a message from the church's pastor to his Nigerian associate but states clearly it is him who received it. So now this lad is demonstrating the true nature of these people. He has no conscience. He will not only steal from honest people at a church who wish to assist, he will use stolen images to prove he has an orphanage, and then lie to keep a larger share of the proceeds for himself. There is no honour among thieves!

The church informed the lad that "by accident" almost $17,000 was put in the package with all the goods. The lad is now saying the church has said nothing to him about cash. I love when lads lie and can dig even deeper holes for themselves.

The lad was pressing for a phone number, but Sparky does not have a baiting phone. Sparky gave the lad my phone number and he had called a few times (when I was unable to take the call) so I decided to call him back.

I tried to go for a French accent, but that lasted like a whole sentence and then it went all over the place

Nothing much was said, I just think he needed to verify that 'a real person' was sending the parcel. I think the call helped hooking him more...we'll see how it goes.

Bertje's phone call did wonders for the lad! He is now thoroughly hooked and awaiting his riches. His co-scammer Raoul has agreed to the division of spoils with the lad......anything to keep him happy!

As the lad gets excited tracking his package, his belief in the church and its good people is reinforced in the background. The lad's co-scammer is Raoul (me) and it was Raoul who brought the church and the lad's non existent orphanage together. Now Raoul is writing to Pastor F to say hello and receive an update. It all adds to the "reality" of this for the lad as he is copied these messages. He believes we are all one big happy family.

I do hope things are going well for you and that the orphanage I brought to your attention has been just the sort of project your team of wonderful volunteers was looking for. Sadly, although they are worthy, I could probably find dozens more like them. It always seems that there are more people in need out there than can be helped at any one time. That is why I commend your approach to assisting people. Help them for today of course, but help educate them and give them opportunities to escape poverty and then share their good fortune with others in the future. It really is simple isn't it?

Anyway sir, I have heard that the orphanage manager and yourself have opened a successful dialogue and that you have already sent help to them! God bless you for being the lightning rod of kindness in this enterprise.

I know you are a busy man but if you have a moment I would love a short note just to update me and say hello.

The minister replies with not only pleasantries but again has raised the idea of long term sponsorship of the orphanage from the church. The lad loves this idea of course, and it is reinforced in the minister's "private" correspondence.

Thanks to your guidance, the committee decided to act on your suggestion of assisting our new Nigerian friends with a donation of cash and goods. It was sent out last week and should arrive in Nigeria in a few days. The manager is certain this will greatly enrich the lives of those children, and we trust these seeds of hope will fall on fertile ground.
You did acknowledge, sadly, that there are probably dozens more worthy causes out there. We just cannot help them all. However, we are thinking long term here: we want to begin a program of not just "one time" assistance, but perhaps long term sponsorship. We are developing a plan to do offer sustainable help long term. The children we help today must be upheld in God's loving hands for years, to properly nurture and guide them in His ways. Then, they will become part of the solution in the future for this very issue.
With that however, I am getting ahead of myself and allowing lofty dreams to take over my thoughts. Keeping my feet firmly planted on the ground now, I must address the issue of two separate groups wanting to use church facilities at the same time! The Quilters Guild wants to use the common room on Wednesday afternoons at 1 pm, and someone double booked it for the Book Club. I will need the wisdom of Solomon to handle this!
