I got this 419 e-mail from Steve Yengeni, supposedly the younger brother of some South African functionary in the ANC.  There’s $27.5 million he wants help transferring out of the country.  In this bait, I get invited to travel to Spain, South africa and Holland.  A meeting is arranged between myself and the associates of Steve Yengeni at Johannesburg Airport.  I try to get Rian Visser to identify the associates at the airport, but no-one shows up.  If they had been there, xclaluber from www.419eater.com was there to take photos.

1.  Full name:  Stephen Nelson Seagoon

2.  Seagoon Automotive Group, New Zealand

3.  Mobile phone  64 xx xxx xxxx

     E-mail:  [email protected]

4.  58, DOB 21 October, 1945

Note I have given my mobile phone number only.

I would suggest that in the interests of security and confidentiality that we use only e-mail.  I have not given my fax or business phone number as these are accessible by my secretary and are not secure.  I only turn my mobile phone on when making calls or expecting a call, it defaults to voicemail.  I hate being interrupted by the buzzing of my mobile phone.

If you must call please take note that New Zealand is 11 hours ahead of UK Summer Time and e-mail me so that I may turn my mobile phone on.  Otherwise leave a voicemail.  The time difference would be another good reason to use e-mail only.

Regarding opportunities to invest in this country, there probably would not be many better investments than in the Seagoon Automotive Group.  This is a $75 million holding company which operates eleven car sales companies, a vehicle importing franchise, a transport operation and a computer design/printing business.  Our profit after tax has been in the region of 25% on capital invested for the last 5 years, and was 26.7% on capital invested for the financial year 2002-2003.  Seagoon Automotive Group would be one of a number of worthwhile investments that I could recommend for you following the conclusion of this transaction.

Dear Steve Yengeni,

YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING!!!  I live in New Zealand.  If you look at a map of the world, New Zealand is down in the bottom left hand corner of the Pacific Ocean.  Its nearest neighbour is Australia!  Spain is exactly on the other side of the world from New Zealand.  It takes just under two days to fly from New Zealand to Europe.

I’m a very busy business man.  I am the Managing Director and majority shareholder of a company that brought in nearly $20 million profit last year.  I can’t go taking a couple of weeks off to fly to Spain, even if it is for five and a half million dollars.  If I travel, then I travel to Japan to buy cars for my company here in New Zealand.

And what would you expect me to do in Spain, pack this money in my suitcase and fly back to New Zealand to deposit it in my bank account?  Can’t this transaction be handled by e-mail?  Let me give you whatever information you need and have the money telegraphically transferred to my bank account here in New Zealand.  I’m not going to run off with your money either.  Why would I do that?  My company makes almost that much money every year, so why would I consider stealing your share and have to spend the rest of my life hiding from a group of angry South Africans.

Work out the modalities of some electronic method of transferring this money.

please kindly tell me when to call you on phone so that we can chat one on one regarding this urgent matter or i will give you my number to enable you call me for more details, and one of the reasons i want us to meet in Spain so that you can see things yourself. seeing they say is believing.

Lets just give Mr Yengeni a little shock, I don’t think he lives in South Africa at all, so maybe I can offer to travel to meet him in Johannesburg.  If he can meet me in South Africa, then we might be able to arrange someone to meet him from the South African police.

Dear Steve,

This may be the most expensive decision I am ever going to have to make.  $5.5 million dollars.  But I just cannot fit a trip to Spain into my schedule.  Just no way at all.

But I’ve had a look at your other e-mail.  Wow, look at all that lovely money!!!

So there may be an alternative though.  At the end of this week, on Sunday 11th July, I have to fly to Perth, Western Australia for a meeting to arrange the supply of car parts from the largest automotive manufacturer in Australia.  That might take most of the week.  I’ve looked at ticketing, and it’s only an 11 hour flight across from Perth in Western Australia to Johannesburg in South Africa.

If I arrived in Johannesburg on Friday the 16th July, could you have finalised whatever details that have to be arranged and forms that have to be signed by then?  If I then fly back on the Saturday I could be back home Monday and only loose one day at work.

So let me know if I you can meet me at Johannesburg Airport on Friday 16th July and if we can finalise arrangements for transferring this money then?

My secretary has just brought in possible flight connections.  I can leave Perth on Friday, arrive in Johannesburg at 17.10 pm Friday, leave Johannesburg at 18.10 pm Saturday and be home around midnight Sunday.  If needed, I could stay over an extra night and leave Johannesburg on the Sunday night.

Now my lad has sent me photos of piles of suitcases and open chests full of money (not the same sort of containers as shown in the image of the pile of suitcases, but then never mind).  I think I’ve seen these suitcases somewhere before though.  Yes, my lad wants to meet me in South Africa.  However I wonder if he is in fact in South Africa himself, he can’t spell Johannesburg and he’ll have to “fly over to South Africa to wait for my arrival”.  His e-mail address extends to show Nigeria via Denmark.  He also has a poor sense of time, I said twice in my e-mail that I’d be arriving on Friday, he wants to wait for my arrival on Saturday.  Maybe we can take advantage of his confusion, of course he missed me because I flew in on Friday and there was no-one there to meet me.  It worries me that he thinks he can check the manifest to confirm I’m on the flight, if he can do that he has friends working for the airline.  I’ve sent an e-mail to Rian at www.419legal.org to ask if they’re interested in this scammer.

Thanks so much for your cooperation as i look forward to seeing you in South Africa on saturday.

Dear Steve,

In my thorough businessman manner, I have been going through all eventualities regarding my arrival in South Africa.

One thing I would like is to recognise you at the airport.  It would be easy and quicker to recognise you if you held up a sign with my name on it, “SEAGOON” in the area where passengers come out of the Immigration/Customs halls.

However, to make recognition easier, send me a photo of you holding a sign with “SEAGOON” on it.

I always ask for a photo of the person meeting me holding a sign with my name on it to ensure that the photo is a recent one.  I once had the experience of being met at an airport by a customer’s employee and not recognising him because he had sent me a photo that was seven years old.  How was I to know that the overweight, balding person waiting at the airport was in fact the thinner and hairier person from the seven year old photograph?

Have you booked me into a hotel at the airport?  Please advise me of the hotel name.

Dear Steve,

I am leaving for Western Australia on Sunday 11th for my meetings with automotive parts manufacturers next week, and then on to South Africa on Friday the 16th to meet you and finalise the transfer of this impounded money.

Before I leave New Zealand I’d like to know that you’ve got all the paperwork tidied up so that I can sign it and start the process whereby this money gets transferred to us here in New Zealand.

I don’t want to be coming to South Africa unless I hear that all the modalities are in place for the transfer of this money.  Don’t stuff me around Etunne, have you got the paperwork all sorted out?

I also need for you to e-mail me a photo of you holding a sign marked “SEAGOON”.  If I’m coming all that way for this very secret deal, then I absolutely demand that I recognise you immediately when come through immigration at Johannesburg airport.  I don’t want any years old photo, I want something taken right now so that I can immediately identify you.  I don’t ant to be wandering around the airport looking for you.

Finally, have you booked me into a hotel?  I don’t mind how luxurious it is, but I do want a hotel room with a security safe in the room.  Please ask the hotel when you book me in if they have security safes in their rooms, these are usually mounted in the clothes cupboard.  I just want somewhere to leave my passport, money and business documents which is safe.

So before I leave on Sunday, I want you to e-mail me with:

1.   Assurance that all the paperwork and transfer modalities are in place.

2.   To have received an e-mail with a recent photo of you holding a sign marked “SEAGOON”

3.  Confirmation of hotel booking for Friday night 16th July, and that there is a security safe.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 16th to progress this mutually beneficial enterprise.

I think my lad may have been baited before, he doesn’t want to send me a photo.  Oh well, we’ll see what we can do.  I notice in my message above that I’ve addressed him by the name of another scammer that I’m baiting.  If he mentions it, I can always say that “Etunne” is a New Zealand Maori word for a business partner that is commonly used in my country.

Dear Steve,

Sorry that I am so worried about recognising you at the airport.  I once missed my contact at Seoul airport in Korea and had to find a hotel and get to it on my own in a city where almost no-one speaks English, and I couldn’t speak any Korean.  Since then I’ve been just a little bit careful about being met at airports, especially with so much depending on this.

Just so long as you are at the airport with a sign so I can find you.  Have SEAGOON on it, or YENGENI if you like – but I don’t think you should be displaying your own name in a public place like that.  Just tell me what you’ll be carrying so that I can find you.

Wow, things are racing ahead aren’t they?  I can almost taste this money!!!!  If I understand you, the money will be in South Africa within 48 hours.  I can hardly wait to get there.

Thanks for looking after the payment to the diplomat who will transfer the goods to South Africa.  As for the payment you require from me, I don’t carry that amount of money in cash.  I usually carry no more than $1000 in cash.

I have spent much of today at Thomas Cooks getting the money in travellers cheques.  There will be somewhere where I will be able to cash travellers cheques on a Saturday won’t there?  Trying to get $15,500 cash won’t be a problem will it?

Now I notice that you keep saying things like “when you are coming to South Africa on Saturday”.  Please note, I am arriving on FRIDAY evening at 5.10 pm.

I've had a response from the "Steve Yengeni" who wants to meet me at Jo'burg airport on Friday 16th.  He wants me to bring $15,500 cash to arrange the release of the money.

I think he may ask for a photo of me, would you want me to forward a photo of one of your officers to him?

His e-mail to me, with expanded header, is attached below.  I'll also forward it from [email protected]

Hi Steve

Thanks for the e-mail. Friday the 16th is fine. We will be at the airport.

Secondly, if he asks for a photograph, tell them you are unable to scan it or some other excuse. The reason why I ask this is that currently our 419 Task Team have all been involved in many previous traps and arrests.

Using any one of our pics might not be wise. This week, hopefully, we will receive our new recruits. We were approved getting 70 new men working on your guys info. Once the team is assembled we will be in a position to hand out photographs of the new guys.

In the meantime, will you be able to Zip all correspondence with the lads and forward it to me?

Regards

Now, I’ve had no advice from my lad that he’ll actually be at the airport, nor that he’ll have a sign, has booked me into a hotel or has the paperwork ready.  I’m already in Perth, Western Australia, nearly a third of the way to South Africa and I haven’t heard from him yet.

Steve,

It's Monday afternoon here in Perth, Western Australia, I've just connected my laptop to my mobile phone and rung my internet provider back in New Zealand, AND THERE ARE NO MESSAGES FROM YOU!!!

I'm getting a little nervous about your ability to organise this, Steve.  Is it too difficult to send me an e-mail answering these questions that I've asked several times already.

So, I want an e-mail from you answering these questions by tomorrow afternoon my time here in Australia.  That gives you a whole day!

1.  Will you be at the airport to meet me?

2.  Will you have a sign with my name or your name on it so I can recognise you?

3.  Which hotel have you booked me in to?

4.  Has all the paperwork been finished and is it ready to sign?

I don't want to fly into a strange country and be left standing at the airport with $16,000 in my pocket.

Get an e-mail to me by tomorrow with those answers.  If I haven't received answers to those questions by Friday, I'll have to think twice about getting on that plane.

I get an e-mail back from Steve Yengeni.  Suddenly, it’s a partner in South Africa which I’ll be meeting.  And he needs my phone number to make a hotel reservation, despite earlier saying he “have already book for your hotel reservation”.  I think I’ll get my travel company to make a reservation in their name for me and see if he remembers that he’s already made a reservation for me.  I’d slap him, but I don’t want to do anything that would stop Rian’s planned meeting of his partner at the airport.  I also pass this message on to Rian at 419Legal.

I have contacted my partner in South Africa and he has told me that before he could make hotel reservation for you, you need to send me your telephone number or i will send you his telephone number so that both of you can talk before he makes the hotel reservation for you as soon as possible, this is because alot of hotels in South Africa are conplaining that many people have made a reservation and they refuse to show up in the hotel  room and they are loosing their customers and the hotelliers are not finding it funning any more, at this notion i implore you to send me your private telephone number so that both of you can talk in details regarding this latest developement and he has also assured me that he will be in the airport holding your name on the sign board so that you can easily recongnise him in the airport.

please kindly get back to me as soon as possible so that i will know the next step to take regarding this urgent matter.

Dear Steve,

You’re a very astute businessman, Steve.  You’re quite right about Seagoon Automotive Group needing a website.  In fact, this matter was discussed at a Board Meeting just last week.

I have built the Seagoon Automotive Group up by buying car sales companies all around the country.  The Seagoon Automotive Group now owns eleven car sales yards, and a couple of other associated businesses.  Each one of these car sales companies still trades under it’s original name and many have their own website.

However, the Seagoon Automotive Group which is the holding company for all these car sales companies, is virtually invisible to the public.  We like to give the impression that each of these eleven car sales companies is locally owned and operated.

Try this for the website of one of the Seagoon Automotive Group car sales companies.  http://www.wings-wheels.co.nz

The main reason why we are now considering a website specifically for the Seagoon Automotive Group is so that those working at Seagoon Automotive Group headquarters will then be able to have an e-mail address identifying them as part of the Seagoon Automotive Group.  At the moment we all use different e-mail addresses, some use hotmail, some (like me) use yahoo, and some use the web-mail provided by our Internet Provider.

However, I’m still not sure that internet listing is the best way to advertise and sell used cars.  We have two car sales companies which have no websites and do not advertise on the net.  These two companies specialise in high priced, high profit, used cars such as Lexus’s, Nissan 350Z, Mitsubishi 3000 GTO, Honda NSX, and Toyota and Nissan 4 wheel drives.  They are our most profitable branches, and use only newspapers to advertise their vehicles.  The managers of these two companies maintain that the internet forces prices down, that it enables purchasers to compare vehicles based solely on their selling price.

However, sorry for the commercial, and back to your question.  In a couple of months the Seagoon Automotive Group will indeed have a website and all employees will have e-mail address identifying them as part of the Seagoon Automotive Group.

Tomorrow, Thursday, my business associates here in Western Australia are taking me to a place called Monkey Mia where dolphins swim right up to you at the water’s edge and feed out of your hands.  Well, as they say, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.  I’m looking forward to seeing you on Friday.

Dear Sir,

I am Mr Seagoon's Personal Secretary.  He contacted me earlier this afternoon, New Zealand time, and gave me your e-mail address and asked me to get in touch with you.

He was delayed getting back from his flight up the West Australian coast and did not have time to contact you himself before he caught the flight to Johannesburg.

He has caught the flight to Johannesburg, or at least he was at Perth airport an hour and a half before the flight for Johannesburg left.  He rang me from the airport and asked me to contact you.

He realises that he has not advised you of the hotel he is booked into.  While his Western Australian hotel made a reservation for him in Johannesburg, he did not collect the name of the Johannesburg hotel from them before he left.  He is ringing the Western Australian hotel before he boards the plane and is directing them ring me with the name of the Johannesburg hotel.  I will e-mail you when this information is received.

May I say that his recent behaviour is troubling me, he has been extremely distracted of late, and this sudden trip to Johannesburg is so uncharacteristic.

I will contact you later,

Dear Mr Yengeni,

I have heard from Mr Seagoon's Western Australian hotel.  They have booked him into the Intercontinental Airport Sun Hotel at Johannesburg Airport.

The Western Australian hotel has also advised that Mr Seagoon had requested a special "confidential" reservation.  This is some sort of security measure that Mr Seagoon has requested, it means that no-one will be able to contact him at the hotel.

I also now understand why Mr Seagoon has requested some sort of special security covering his presence at this Johannesburg hotel.  Our company's Bank Manager rang me late this afternoon to advise that Mr Seagoon has been issued with $US 20,000 worth of travellers cheques just earlier this week.

I am even more worried about Mr Seagoon now.  Not only has he taken a sudden flight to South Africa, he is now requesting special security measures at his hotel and wandering about in a city on the other side of the world with $US 20,000 in his pocket.

You are obviously a confidant of Mr Seagoon, do you know what is going on?  Do you think I should contact the New Zealand Police and see if they can contact the South African Police and get them to locate Mr Seagoon and make sure he is safe?

I am beside myself with worry.

Unfortunately it did not go as planned. The mugu did not arrive, or arrived and did not have his sign ready. We waited from 16:00 to 18:20ish and there was nothing. It was really very interesting how just about every one there looked suspicious!

Rian will organise with you to get this f'n f'er to some other place to "meet" you.  Hopefully it will be at a time that I can also be there.

I quite like Rian after meeting him in person and speaking with him for a few hours. He has absolutely no problem with us taking photos. He actually told me that he would wait for the arrest untill I have taken all the photos I want and then he will put the mugu against a wall somewhere and I can take even more photos if I wanted!

Anyway, I hope we get another chance!

Yengeni,

What in the name of hell happened?  I walked around at the airport for an hour.  There was NOBODY there to meet me !!!!!!  I told you I should have had a photograph of the person that was meeting me !!!!!!

What the fuck happened to your associates ?????  What sort of incompetent losers are you using, they couldn’t even turn up to meet me at the airport.  How do you think I felt walking around with $20,000 in travellers cheques and nearly $1500 in cash in my pocket.  I have felt very nervous about my security for this trip, and I did not like wandering around the airport like a lost sheep.

I have got the hotel looking at changing my return flight to New Zealand.  I think I can stay on In Johannesburg until Wednesday or Thursday.

BUT ONLY IF YOU GET YOURSELF ORGANISED, YENGENI !!!!

If the hotel can change my flight back, I will be moving to another hotel.  I have located a nice, quiet, place over the other side of Johannesburg which is part of a hotel chain my company deals with.  Being so close to the airport, this hotel is so busy and I keep thinking that everybody in the hotel knows my secret and is staring at me.

I will also find somewhere to meet your associates again, probably around mid-day on Monday.  It’ll be somewhere public and crowded, yet somewhere which gives us some privacy.  But, I’ll be the one telling you where I’m meeting them this time, and when.  And if I’m not happy about your reply, if there’s any hint of another fuck up by these people you employ, if I think that you’re not serious about this enterprise, then I will be getting on the plane home so fast you’ll think that it’s a streak of light going up the steps into the aircraft.

It’s morning here now, and I am still at the hotel near the airport.  I’m using the phone in my room to link my computer to my Internet provider back in New Zealand.  I thought it would be more secure than using the hotel business centre, and I would be able to send this as soon as I woke up.  I have written this in Word and pasted it to my e-mail to save time.  And you’re bloody lucky about that too, Yengeni.  As I’ve written this I’ve calmed down a bit, and I’ve cut out a whole lot of the profanity that I originally used.

But, get your act together.  I will be the one who says what is done from now on.  I will get in touch with where and when I want to meet your associates.

Oh, by the way.  I also had an e-mail from my secretary.  She’s a bit upset about the tone of an e-mail she received from you.  I’d like you to send her an apology, and copy (CC) it to me.

Subject:  Meeting with your associates, Monday in Johannesburg

From:  [email protected]

Dear Yengeni,

Right, Sunday morning here in South Africa.  I’m still pissed off that your associates were not at the airport to meet me, but let’s give them another chance.

I was feeling paranoid sitting in the Intercontinental Airport Sun Hotel, as I said it felt as if everybody knew what I was there for and was watching me.

I’ve moved to a quiet, small, homely hotel on the other side of Johannesburg.  I have arranged to stay on in Johannesburg for three or four more days to complete our transaction, and I’ve worked out the details of how I can meet your associates again.  However, I feel that security is still extremely important, not only in the interests of our transaction but because I’m carrying a lot of money around.

There is a shopping Centre near here, it is called the Cresta, in the suburb of Randburg.  I’ll meet your associates in the shopping centre in the next couple of days.  We meet between 12.00 mid-day and 1.00 pm, the shopping centre will be busy and we can be lost in the crowds.  They chose a site in the shopping centre, somewhere where I can see them and somewhere that is private.  They choose an identification symbol, something like having a red scarf on their knees or on a table.

So, they choose where in the Cresta shopping centre they will meet me, they carry their identification symbol.  I see that they are there and approach them.  There is a Bureau de change in Randburg, so I can cash my travellers cheques.

Get in touch with your associates, get them to nominate the place within the Cresta shopping centre where I will meet them, and advise me where and how they will be identified.

Now there is something I should tell you.  I have a hearing problem.  In person to person conversation you would not know, I lip-read.  I can use a phone, but it is useless for strangers to call me, I hear noise but am usually unable to pick out what they are saying.  I do find ways of using the phone, but usually only if I am very familiar with the voice of the person calling me.  I have come to rely exclusively on e-mail to conduct business.

When I called my secretary from Perth airport the other day, I waited until I knew her voicemail message had finished, and I left a message on her answering machine for her to contact you.  I do not usually make my hearing difficulty known to people I am doing business with, maybe it’s pride or a desire to be normal.  So, sorry about that and I should have told you this earlier.  This is why I have never phoned you.

Now, let’s arrange a meeting between your associates and me, and get on with this business.

I've been wandering around the Cresta shopping mall and I have found a great meeting place that you might like to suggest to your Associates.

A coffee shop called Dominique's. I think that would be fine.

Pass on to your associates that I will meet them there at 12.30 pm on Monday or Tuesday.

If they would like to get there before mid-day so that they can get a seat and save a space for me, I'll be there at 12.30 pm.

Tell me which day they would prefer, Monday or Tuesday.  And tell me what identity sign they will be carrying, anything like a scarf, a book on the table, or a distinct shopping bag on a chair.

Sorry if I am being a bit paranoid, but I am here in a strange city walking around with lots of money in my pocket and frightened of being robbed.  So, let's get this project completed and both of us can then relax with our new found wealth.

If you don't want to clear this money, and get to keep your 20 million dollars of it, then that's OK.

I'd like to get my hands on my five and a half million dollars, but I'm not going to sit on my arse in Johannesburg any longer.

Get your act together.  Let me know by return that your associates will be at Dominiques Coffee shop in the Cresta shopping centre tomorrow at 12.30 pm, or I'm having a nice long leisurely lunch at Sandton, then catching a taxi to the airport and getting on that plane.

You want your money?  Do what I say.  I'm looking after myself here in a city which I've heard has one of the highest robbery rates in the world.

I'd like to help you get your share of the money.  I'd like to help me get my share of the money.  But I'm not being fucked around any more.

Dear Steve,

I am sorry for being so paranoid while in South Africa.  I had read so much about crime there, and especially in Johannesburg, and it must have been that fear mixed with jetlag that left me feeling extremely unsafe carrying around over $US 20,000 in cash and travellers cheques.

Unfortunately, I have had a lot of work to catch up on following my quick trip to South Africa.  I have put in place a deal to distribute here in New Zealand the range of a large Australian spare parts manufacturer.  This not only offers us great profits from sales to third parties, but will substantially reduce the cost of spare parts used in my own organisation.  But this has taken a lot of time, and I had to make another quick trip to Syndey to finalise the deal.

I will be getting in touch with Mr John Nelson immediately.  Thank you for proceeding with this project, and I look forward to eventually sharing the proceeds with you.

For the purposes of electronic contact I suggest that we rely on e-mail, my e-mail address is given above.  I do not use my mobile phone, I cannot stand cell phones ringing in the middle of meetings.  I leave my cell phone turned off, and only use it to make outgoing calls.  You could leave a voice mail if you liked, but I would probably have to reply by e-mail considering the time differences between us.

Thanking you in anticipation

Attention:"Mr John Nelson, Administration Director

Dear Sir,

I cannot believe that you want me to be in Amsterdam between the 3rd and 6th of August.  If I left this very instant, I couldn't be in Amsterdam before Wednesday the 4th, and with a journey time of over 35 hours and jetlag I wouldn't be in any condition to do business before the Friday.

Let alone get my hands on that sum of money, I had it in travellers cheques when I visited South Africa but I've cashed them in.

Cancel the appointment.  I'll have to check my diary.  I asked in my last e-mail if you could handle this transaction electronically, can this be done with e-mails and money transfers?

Subject:  I cannot believe the incompetence

From:  [email protected]

Yengeni,

As you will have seen, I got an e-mail from John Nelson, Crown Security’s and Finance Co., Amsterdam.  He wanted me to be in Amsterdam with only a couple of days advance warning.

I just cannot believe the incompetence displayed by your associates.

Firstly, no-one ever met me at Johannesburg Airport despite me wandering around for what seemed like hours.  Were you ever told the reason why no-one was at the Airport to meet me?

Then no-one wanted to make arrangements to meet me at a predetermined meeting place, a coffee bar in a large shopping centre.

Now your security company asks me to be on the other side of the world within a couple of days.  And to bring the money that I took to South Africa, and cashed back into my bank account on my return from my South African trip.

Look, I’m extremely wealthy in my own right, and I don’t need this sort of hassle in order to get more money.  No matter how much more money it is.

I want this matter handled by e-mail without me having to travel to Europe, or I’m just going to walk away from the deal.  I’ve had enough being stuffed around by your associates, either I deal only with you, and you pass my messages on to your associates and pass on their replies to me, or we part here and now.

Thanks for the opportunity to share in this unimaginable wealth, but I can do without the demands being made upon me at the last minute.

Attention:"Mr John Nelson, Administration Director

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your e-mail below.  I am sorry that I have not replied earlier but I have been busy this week visiting branches of my business around the country, and while I was travelling I had a laptop failure.

I am a busy man, and my business schedule is fairly tight right now.  This is the time when we have to purchase used cars at auction in Japan and arrange for their delivery to New Zealand in time for them to be on sale over the summer months.

Having travelled to Australia and South Africa recently, I have a backlog of work which does need my physical presence here in New Zealand.

However, I have considered the list of requirements you sent me in an earlier e-mail for clearing this account and would like to put forward these suggestions as to how we can take this matter forward.

I probably cannot make a trip to Europe until the second week of September, but that does give us the benefit of having time to complete the formalities before I have to be there to complete the transaction.

What can I send you to progress the clearance of this account so that all that needs occur when I arrive would be the payment of the administrative and handling charges.  Could I forward payment of these charges by some electronic means, bank transfer or money order, to facilitate the prompt clearance of this account.

Yengeni,

This is much better, I am now in direct contact with Mr John Nelson of the security company.

I have copied you my e-mail to him.  As you will notice, it would probably be the second week of September before I could visit Europe to clear this consignment.

So, please make sure that everything that needs to be dome to clear this consignment has been completed and forwarded to Mr John Nelson.

I don't want any stuff ups with queries about getting identification or authorisation documents that would delay my trip to Europe or the clearance of this consignment once I am there.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your mail.We can definitely work out an arrangement to accomodate your busy schedule.

An account would be provided into which you'd pay the charges. But you would have to forward to us more proof of identification if you are to skip visiting the Netherlands;i.e.you would have to send to us by fax or through scanning,

a.the i.d. page of your international passport

b.copy of your driver's licence

c.copies of at least 2 utility bills bearing your name.

Upon the payment of the charges into the provided account backed up with the requested positive I.D.s,We would be able to process and forward your consignment to you without you having to prsonally visit the Netherlands.

Thank you

Dear Sir,

I have to make an urgent trip to Japan to attend an auction of used cars on Friday.  The employee who was to attend has taken sick with meningitis, and none of his work colleagues can travel in his place as they have been quarantined.

While in Japan I will take the opportunity to visit several spare parts suppliers with a view to opening supply deals and credit arrangements.

I will therefore be away until Friday of next week, I will arrange to send you the information you seek on my return.  Please advise in what format you would like my information, I think our scanner will produce jpg, bitmap or tiff files.  My secretary usually handles such matters as scanning documents, and can produce whatever file type is convenient to you.

Dear Sir,

This is a follow up to my mail I sent you earlier.

Please note my empathy regarding your indisposed staff.

You have not requested for the account into which you will pay in the fund (charges /fee).

It is noteworthy that upon our receipt of your positive identification and the fund (charges/fee), we would immediately process the dispatch of your consignment to your address without any Ado.

Again, note that you can scan the document via Jpg or any other format for that matter.

Thank You,

Steve Yengeni

I have just returned from my business trip to Japan.  There is a lot to clear up here, the employee who contracted meningitis prior to my trip has died.

I have to complete a number of Occupational Safety and Health forms concerning his illness and death, negotiate with the local Accident Compensation Commission regarding payment of funeral expenses and a payment to his family, co-ordinate with the mortuary regarding the release of his body and his funeral, and deal with the absence of employees who now fear that their workplace is contaminated with the disease which killed him.

I will endeavour to contact you both as soon as possible.

Dear Mr Nelson,

My name is Robyn Blynde, I am Mr Seagoon’s Personal Secretary.

Mr Seagoon has been rushed to hospital with the same meningitis as his late employee.  You probably know that meningitis is a serious disease, though if treated in time the chances of survival are quite good.  The doctors expect Mr Seagoon to be in the Extensive Care Unit of the hospital for two or more weeks, though at this stage Mr Seagoon's survival is in the hands of the doctors.  After that he will probably be kept in an isolation room for another four to six weeks.

Before he was taken to hospital by ambulance, Mr Seagoon was conscious enough to give his e-mail address and password.  He specifically asked me to advise both yourself and a Mr Yengeni that he had been taken ill.  I have been unable to send an e-mail to Mr Yengeni, perhaps you could advise him of Mr Seagoon's illness.

If Mr Seagoon survives, I will pass on whatever business communications he has for you.

Yours sincerely

Dear Mr Nelson, Mr Yengeni,

Mr Seagoon has survived the initial crisis of his mengingitis.  He has suffered some damage to his kidneys, and will be staying in hospital for about four weeks receiving dialysis treatment until his kidneys recover.

As his Private Secretary, I have examined the correspondence between Mr Seagoon and yourselves, and see no way that Mr Seagoon can possibly progress this transaction himself in the next several months.

However, as his Private Secretary I have a number of discretionary powers here at Seagoon Automotive Group and have often acted on Mr Seagoon's behalf when he was busy or travelling overseas.

I will contact you further regarding the clearance of these funds, about which Mr Seagoon has been communicating with you.

Yengeni,

Your offer of millions of dollars was so obviously fake, your e-mails just screamed “I AM A 419 FRAUDSTER!!!!!”  I have been playing with you all along.  It was so easy, I even had your associates in South Africa identified and followed by the Police.  I bet they won’t be very happy with you when their door is knocked down in the middle of the night when you use them next.

You are a pitiful example of a Mugu.  You couldn’t scam shit out of a hole in the ground.  No, I have that wrong.  You are probably such a bad Mugu that you have to earn your money by shovelling shit out of holes in the ground.

In fact you are worse than that. You like a little bit of man to man lovemaking, don’t you.  Are you queer, a homosexual?  I bet you are.  You are a small man who lets the big men have sex with them for money.  Ooooh, bet you like that Yengeni.  I bet you beg them to do that to you!

Anyway, now that I have finished playing with you I have also placed your phone number on the “death phone” list.  You’ve heard about the “death phones” haven’t you?  That is when you answer your phone the caller sends ultra-high frequency electromagnetic waves to your phone.  These It just takes a couple of exposures to these ultra-high frequency electromagnetic waves, and “Zap!”  Your brain cells are fired.  One dead Mugu!  Don’t worry, they say it's very sudden and not very painful.

Bye, bye.  Be very careful.

Steve
